Warehouse Coordinator

Warehouse AssistantEDS is looking for a reliable and self-motivated warehouse assistant to join our team. As a warehouse assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for performing various tasks related to inventory management, order picking and packing, and general warehouse maintenance. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Warehouse Assistant supports Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient ordering, receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory & equipment. This position promotes EDS's Safety Culture, while supporting Operations goals, providing excellent internal & external customer service.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist Warehouse Manager in planning, organizing, and directing operations.Serve as Warehouse Manager in their absence.Ability to effectively communicate with supplier partners.Activities comply with EDS safety policies, OSHA regulations, and requirements.Daily warehouse housekeeping, and other areas assigned.Equipment Management (with specific WM guidance)Fleet Management (with specific WM guidance)InventorySupport continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager or others as appropriate.QualificationsRequired:Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.Valid driver's licenseHigh School Diploma or GEDPreferred:1-2 years warehouse experienceMinimum of 1–2 years of team lead experience.Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices understandingAbility to analyze inventory reports and operational metrics.Traits:Organized, motivated / initiative-takerGood communicator / can receive & provide feedbackAbility to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Good problem-solving & decision-making abilities.Physical Requirements:Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.Occasionally lift to 75 pounds with assistance.Bend, kneel, climb, reach, and twist throughout the workday.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.Work in varying temperatures, including warehouse and outdoor environments.Work Environment:Fast-paced warehouse environment.Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and warehouse traffic.May require overtime, weekends, or flexible scheduling during peak business periods.Preferred Certifications:OSHA 10-HourForklift OperatorFirst Aid/CPR CertificationHourly Rate: $20 - $22Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, M-F (this may fluctuate based on business needs)Apply today and become an essential part of the EDS team!Environmental Diversified Services, Inc. is committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
