Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Previous Charge Experience: Required - Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.

Required Credentials: - Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. - For DC locations – You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (See JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure. - For MD locations – You must have compact license or MD license.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population. - Peritoneal dialysis. - Cares for patients with stroke/TIA, pneumonia, DM, ESRD, renal failure, and PE/DVT.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: - Float within skillset required.

7 days maximum time off

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
