About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Compact or State License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Strong experience caring for post-op surgical patients, especially in Orthopedics and Gastrointestinal surgeries. Description: This position is for a busy medical-surgical unit. The unit cares for orthopedic, spine, general surgery, and bariatric patients. Nurses will receive 10-20 post-op patients daily. The unit includes cardiac and oxygen monitoring capabilities. Nursing requirements include both medical and surgical skill sets. ACLS certification is not required. An EKG exam must be passed during onboarding. Nurses will float to other units as needed. The facility does not accept local travelers within specified distances. Employees will be expected to work during winter holidays. Candidates must have experience with wound vacs and solid orthopedic experience. Attention to detail is essential due to a high turnover rate. Familiarity with orthopedic equipment is important. Compliance requirements include BLS and other competency exams. References are required at the time of submission. Candidates may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Rehire eligibility must be checked prior to submission. Candidates should note any prior employment at the facility.
