Ropes Course Counselor

A Ropes Course Counselor at Camp Micah helps facilitate all ropes course activities and ensures appropriate instruction in conjunction with the Micah Philosophy. Our course is equipped with both high and low elements, a climbing wall, and an aqua zip line. Camp Micah is looking for a warm, enthusiastic, hard working person with a passion for making outdoor adventure fun and exciting for youth.

Ropes Course Counselor Activity Responsibilities:

• Help develop activity plan/curriculum for ages 7-15
• Facilitate activities at on high elements, low elements, climbing wall and zip line
• Assist with overnight Ladder program as necessary
• Proper care and storage of equipment
• Record equipment usage

Current Belay Certification and CPR/First Aid preferred

Our activity staff also live in a cabin with 8-9 campers. Cabin responsibilities include maintaining a healthy bunk dynamic while supporting campers' physical and emotional needs.

Camp Micah counselors are hired for their abilities to be effective with children and their expertise in a particular program area. With the guidance of the administrative staff, each counselor is expected to implement a quality program.
