Planner

Main Duties And Responsibilities Develop cost estimates on individual parts and update MRP system accordingly. Perform job planning/routing/steps based on estimates. Review customer drawings and understand scope of work to budget. Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to estimate costs. Review existing cost components and plan for improvement. Obtain pricing for materials. Obtain bids from subcontractors and overhead costs incurred in manufacture of items. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Must work well with others. Must be able to work scheduled shift and meet company attendance requirements; must be flexible to work overtime or modify work hours on short notice if production deadlines require it.
