Cardiac Surgery PRN Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Piedmont Atlanta Hospital Overview Piedmont Heart Institute is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the cardiac surgery team providing excellent patient care to our surgical patients. You will be joining a team of thirteen advanced practice providers and focus solely on cardiac surgery. This is a PRN opportunity working shifts as needed. Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services. Responsibilities Round on postoperative patients Provide office consults one day per week with a designated surgeon Perform EVH and chest closure in the operating room Thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care Provide care to LVAD patients Benefits Comprehensive compensation and benefits package CME allowance Quality, Service and Reputation Qualifications 1–2 years of cardiac surgery / EVH experience. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program and National Board Certification. Or licensed nurse approved to practice as a NP by the State of Georgia with National Certification.
