Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Avella Behavioral Health Center, your daily duties will include:

  • Conducting thorough and compassionate assessments to understand clients' mental health concerns and formulate clinical diagnoses.
  • Designing, implementing, and adjusting individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences.
  • Delivering psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families using diverse therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Providing crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate support and safety.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records, documenting treatment progress, and ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards in mental health practice.
  • Collaborating actively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance client treatment, discussing cases during team meetings and seeking input from other healthcare professionals.
  • Offering education and resources to clients and their families regarding mental health concerns, treatment options, and community support services.
  • Continuously updating your knowledge base and skills through professional development activities and staying current with the latest research in mental health trends and best practices.

You will be working with a diverse array of clients, including individuals, couples, and families grappling with varying mental health issues. Your expertise will cater to a population seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and other mental health conditions. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, applicants must possess:

  • A valid state license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW).

  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience providing therapy in a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is two years of clinical experience, candidates who have prior exposure to outpatient therapy settings and crisis intervention will have a competitive edge. Compensation and Benefits
