The BCBA will provide person-driven behavior day services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have an identified need for additional behavior support. As the BCBA, you will be responsible for: Behavior Services Conduct functional behavior assessments for assigned participants. Design and implement behavior intervention plans that are reviewed and updated annually (or as needed) through a person‑driven planning process. Provide and document service hours sufficient to satisfy all individualized service authorizations and other regulatory requirements. Provide direct support as needed to maintain adequate supervision and quality of services. Staff Training and Supervision Provide adequate supervision and training for direct support staff with regards to the implementation of behavior intervention plans, data collection, and other behavior analytic responsibilities. Provide supervision to staff accruing supervised field experience toward BCBA certification (if eligible to do so and in compliance with all BACB requirements). Contribute to the content and delivery of required 40‑hour behavior‑focused staff training, as assigned by Director of Day Programs. Conduct regular quality check observations and assessments to ensure procedural fidelity of behavior service delivery, address performance issues related to behavior service delivery through remediation plans and retraining. Data Analysis and Documentation Create, update, and maintain materials needed for service delivery, including data collection tools, communication tools, visual schedules, etc. Maintain data collection system; conduct weekly data collection audits to ensure accuracy. Prepare semi‑annual (or as needed) progress reports including graphing, analyzing data, and making data‑driven clinical recommendations. Maintain complete, accurate, and up‑to‑date records of behavior plans and services. Schedule Part‑time: 15–20 hours per week Program hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Work location San Fernando, CA 91340 Compensation Starting at $45–$50/hour (dependent upon prior experience and qualifications). Part‑Time Benefits 56 hours of paid sick leave 403(b) retirement savings plan Employee Assistance Program Opportunity for Career Advancement Qualifications Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good, active standing with the BACB including the 8‑hour supervision training certification (required). Minimum 1 year of experience providing BCBA services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (preferred). Minimum 1 year of experience working in an adult day program (preferred). CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (required, or must obtain within 30 days of hire). CPR/First Aid Certification (required, or must obtain within 30 days of hire). Bilingual Spanish (preferred). Proof of Criminal Background Clearance. Proof of a passing physical exam and TB clearance. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Knowledge and Skills Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build trust and connection with participants, families, and team members across diverse backgrounds. Clear and professional written and verbal communication, tailored to a variety of audiences and needs. Organized and attentive to detail, with a commitment to accurate documentation and follow‑through on individual support needs. Tech‑comfortable, with confidence using Microsoft Office Suite and electronic verification systems. Committed to confidentiality, discretion, and ethical, person‑centered practices. Ability to stay calm and solution‑focused in high‑pressure situations. Strong clinical behavior analytic skills including supervision and training of direct support staff.
