Job Title: Infection Preventionist Profession: RN Specialty: Infection Prevention Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0700-1530 Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience License: RN State License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Background check - Application and resume - Annual TRA evaluation - Acknowledgement of expectations - Signed job description - Signed offer letter - Employee medical history form - Drug screen - Annual TB questionnaire - TB test/PPD - Vaccinations: Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu vaccine, COVID-19 vaccine - Positive TB - Chest X-ray (optional) - Competency validation (optional) - Health statement - Learnshare annual education - Infection control testing Description: An Infection Preventionist is responsible for overseeing infection control measures within the facility. The role involves assessing and implementing strategies to reduce infection risk. A strong focus on education and training of staff on infection prevention practices will be essential. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of regulations and guidelines pertaining to infection control. Successful applicants should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments. The position requires the ability to conduct audits and monitor compliance with infection prevention protocols. Flexibility and adaptability to changing health care environments are necessary. The Infection Preventionist will be expected to contribute to quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention.
