Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information on unit boards throughout each visit
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors in collaboration with techs, unit clerks, and the cardiac monitoring team
• Deliver patient-centered care following AIDET standards and respectful behavior practices, ensuring consistent patient experience throughout each visit
• Demonstrate flexibility to float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing needs
• Provide real-time coaching and feedback while maintaining a strong teamwork mentality in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to work every other weekend; must meet departmental scheduling needs (block scheduling not available)
• Navy scrubs required as unit dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
• Experience working in a diverse, multicultural patient population
