As the Medical Director/ Attending Physician, you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive care to patients, ensuring high-quality service, and promoting best practices across the healthcare team. You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical staff, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and contribute to the growth and development of our medical team.ResponsibilitiesProvide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to the medical staff to maintain high standards of careFoster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional developmentLead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staffChair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basisAssist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulationsLead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiativesStay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to continuously evolve the facility's clinical offeringsProvide direct patient care to residents, ensuring the highest quality of clinical treatment and supportRequirementsCertified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred.Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term careAbility to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operationsProlonged standing/walking. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Computer work. Lifting/moving patients.
