Senior Java Developer

Full Stack Java Technical LeadApex Systems is looking for a full stack java technical lead to support one of our fortune 100 clients! The full stack developer will work closely with business partners to reduce vulnerabilities in the enterprise BTO division. This position will play an important role in driving activities in support of the production support team’s security efforts. Candidates for this position will develop new applications to address security vulnerability across the finance department.Candidates will be responsible for developing new applications from the ground up as well as leading a team of developers for this initiative. Looking for experienced candidates with strong leadership qualities and communication skills. This position is responsible for the successful development, design, and documentation for concurrent projects with a moderate range of complexity. Responsibilities include contributing across the technology stack, from database and the DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment, to front-end and server-side application development.Required skills and qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field7-10 years of IT experienceProficiency in Standard JavaKnowledge on spring framework, strutsMust know at least one front-end framework (Angular, React, jQuery)Familiarity with databases (e.g. SQL, MYSQL) and web serversExperience working through scrumSolution-oriented and high-level programming skillsAbility to understand and write code documentation that conveys your solution to othersAbility to troubleshoot and optimize application for security and responsivenessStrong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to partner effectivelyAnalytical skills and problem-solvingBeing a self-starter, quick learner, detail-orientedDuties and responsibilities:Analyze business requirements and create detailed technical specifications from which applications will be writtenGain understanding of business case and functionality expectationsCode and script applicationsFollow coding standards and guidelines, and contribute to the standardsDeploying applications in a continuous delivery environment with automated testingCompiling and assessing user feedback to identify end-user requirements and specifications and to improve software performanceDeveloping technical documentation to guide future software development projectsComplete tasks as assigned on time in a quality manner so that goals and milestones are achieved
