Navigating the Fresh Environment Our grocery nodes are smaller, highly organized, and impeccably clean. The environment is strictly divided into three distinct temperature zones to preserve food integrity: Ambient (room temperature), Chilled, and Frozen. You will rotate through these zones constantly during your shift. Precision Grocery Picking: Guided by a digital smart device, you navigate the aisles to select specific items. You inspect the visual quality of fresh produce and strictly verify expiration dates on dairy and meat products. Temperature-Controlled Operations: When working in the chilled and frozen zones, you wear company-provided, high-grade thermal gear (jackets, gloves, face masks) to stay warm while picking frozen goods. You must work quickly to ensure items do not thaw before being packed into insulated delivery bags. Strict Food Safety Compliance: You are trained in, and must strictly adhere to, rigorous FDA and internal food safety protocols. This includes preventing cross-contamination between raw meats and fresh vegetables during the bagging process and maintaining a highly sanitized workstation.
