Key Responsibilities Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of large‑scale distributed systems for the Kiro Autonomous Agent. Apply rigorous engineering principles to develop infrastructure that is reliable, performant, and resilient under production conditions. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to define technical direction and own project deliverables. Required Competencies Proficiency in one or more of: compute systems (AWS EC2, ECS, Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes), networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPC, firewall policies, service mesh), systems architecture (fault‑tolerant, high‑availability), infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK), observability engineering (monitoring, structured logging, distributed tracing). Basic Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years of programming with at least one major language. Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling). Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, operations). Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. Experience building complex software systems delivered to customers.
