Warehouse Material Handler

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and tracking of materials within the warehouse. This position involves operating equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring the accurate completion of paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Move materials within and around the warehouse.
• Track materials by tagging, inventorying, and documenting their weight and dimensions.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
• Sort and segregate distributions accurately.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including jacks and forklifts, following all safety procedures and protocols.
• Load and unload freight from trucks, vans, and other transportation vehicles, ensuring paperwork matches the loaded or unloaded items, and perform quality control on products for potential damage.
• Document and update disposal data to ensure dumpster usage is captured.
• Pick and pack materials/freight in a timely and orderly manner.

Essential Skills

• Experience with general labor tasks.
• Proficiency with RF scanners.
• Skills in order picking and material handling.
• Experience with warehouse packing.
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Skills in labeling and shipping and receiving.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to operate equipment including a jack and a forklift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
