Ambulance Paramedic
The Ambulance Paramedic provides direct patient care within the scope of their license and under physician supervision, adhering to pre-established rules, regulations, and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Administers emergency medications in compliance with the State of Wyoming Scope of Practice for Paramedics.
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments, establishes care priorities, and provides appropriate care based on assessment findings.
- Documents assessments and treatments using the WATRS reporting system in accordance with Wyoming State statutes.
- Ensures that ambulances and stations are maintained, clean, stocked, and ready for service at all times.
- Assists with medical treatment of patients in other departments under the direction of healthcare providers when requested, within the defined scope of practice.
- Prioritizes tasks and manages time, personnel, and resources to meet departmental goals and standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Shift Information
Shifts may vary; holiday coverage is required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Less than 1 year of experience in a related role.
Certification Requirements
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ATT (Advanced Trauma Team)
