Java Developer
Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Java Developer to support the modernization and enhancement of a large application.
This role is ideal for an experienced Java developer who enjoys modernizing enterprise applications, working across web technologies, and collaborating with a large development team to deliver high-quality solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications
- Support modernization and upgrades of customer-facing government applications
- Develop and enhance web application functionality using Java, JSON, and XML
- Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot application and production issues
- Develop technical specifications, workflows, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Support application deployments, enhancements, and ongoing modernization efforts
What You'll Need
- Application development or related experience
- Strong Java development experience, including JDK 21
- Experience working with JSON and XML
- Strong understanding of application development, testing, and integration methodologies
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging enterprise applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent experience
