McCluer: High School Head Coach - Girls Tennis Job ID: 5700236 Starting Date: Immediately Job Description Minimum Qualifications Must possess a teaching certificate or a substitute‑teaching certificate (60 or more college hours). Duties/Responsibilities Examples of work performed during the season and post‑season include: Pre‑season: size and order uniforms and equipment; distribute uniforms and orders; plan, organize, and coach summer practices; plan and receive administrative approval for fundraisers to defray athlete costs; manage and distribute sports schedules; complete MSHAA online rules review and NFHS concussion training; provide first aid; maintain emergency procedures; hold informational meetings for parents and participants; keep track of applications, teacher recommendations, physical cards, proof of insurance and attendance for all applicants; set up and manage tryouts. Season: follow all state, league, federation, building and district guidelines, procedures and policies; hold parent meetings; order buses for activities; ensure travel forms are complete; distribute uniforms and keep inventory documentation; manage, supervise and attend all practices; maintain compliance with MSHSAA eligibility rosters starting 5 days prior to the first contest; submit transfer student eligibility list to Athletic Director within the first two days of practice; attend all assigned games home and away including post‑season; organize fundraisers; develop routines for sports assemblies; develop materials and attend pep rally; organize and participate in Homecoming activities (Fall Sports); maintain activities that promote school spirit; keep accurate records of attendance and athlete grades; report stats within two days after contest to STL Prep Sports; attend to MSHSAA post‑season online forms; manage and discipline athletes; submit approved time sheets no later than Wednesday following the reporting period; maintain parental contact; assist athletes with college recruitment process. Post‑season: collect, wash, repair and store uniforms; complete inventory report and submit within two weeks of season end; submit fine cards to Athletic Director’s Office; assist hosting event for awards; assess and evaluate the year and plan improvements for next year; attend post‑athletic evaluation meeting with Athletic Director. Terms of Employment Athletic contracts are seasonal. Fall contracts paid approx. November 10; Winter contracts approx. February 10; Spring contracts approx. May 10. Required training videos: Safe Schools, Concussion, CPR, AED, and First Aid (MSHSAA). Timesheets, if worksheet indicates, required; substitute certificate minimum.
