Lerman, Sweeney & Company is a boutique accounting and consulting firm that helps clients navigate the many challenges of owning, operating and expanding a business. We have been in business for more than 40 years and are located in Northbrook, IL. Our firm offers a wide array of tax, accounting and advisory services to many industries located primarily in the Chicago area.
Position Summary: Full-time experienced Accountant.
The accountant will be responsible for assisting with tax preparation, general accounting, financial closing, account reconciliations, and other various accounting functions. Successful candidate will have exposure to a variety of clients and public accounting areas including:
- 1.Closely held Corporations - C and S Corps
- 2.Partnerships and Not-for-Profits
- 3.Individual (business owners, high net worth)
- 4.Tax planning for all the above
- 5.Monthly, quarterly and annual financial preparation for small and medium sized businesses
- Monthly close for clients
- Tax preparation and planning for businesses
- Project work onboarding new clients Qualifications
- CPA (Preferred)
- Bachelors (Required)
- Accounting: At least 3 years
- QuickBooks experience is plus
- Microsoft Office & Excel skills
