Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Pontiac, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will manage access control, monitor activity, and support a professional, welcoming environment. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence, strong communication, and attentive site awareness. - Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, visitor screening, badge verification, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identities and credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in support of site access requirements and other security-related protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help support access restrictions and identify unusual activity or conditions.
- Communicate clearly with employees, guests, and vendors regarding entry procedures, restricted areas, and other site rules while supporting a professional and customer-focused environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
