- Balance time between consultations, case workups, and surgical procedures
- Perform orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries using advanced imaging and surgical equipment
- Collaborate with specialists across departments to support integrated case management
- Help shape and grow the surgical service in line with hospital priorities and community needs
- Work alongside a dedicated surgical nursing and anesthesia team
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Washington state veterinary licensure
- Board Certification in Surgery (ACVS) or residency-trained status
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach
