Job Summary:
Tryfacta is seeking a Phlebotomist - Clinical Laboratory for our client in Fort Bragg 95437 . This is a 13-week contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!



Position Title: Phlebotomist - Clinical Laboratory

Location: Fort Bragg 95437

Duration: 13 weeks (Possible extension)

Work Schedule: 5x8-Hour and On-call only during emergency situations



Work setting:

• Primarily assigned to the Emergency Department (ED) and Inpatient Units for specimen collection .
• May assist the Outpatient Lab until approximately 5:30 PM before transitioning to ED/Inpatient responsibilities.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Perform blood draws for patients in the Emergency Department, inpatient units, and outpatient clinic when needed.
• Verify patient identity and accurately label specimens.
• Process and transport laboratory specimens according to facility protocols.
• Document specimen collection and patient information using Epic EMR.
• Follow infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and patient safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and laboratory staff to ensure timely patient care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]

• Minimum 3-5 years of recent phlebotomy experience (more experience preferred).
• Epic EMR experience is required.
• BLS Certification is required.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician II (CPT II) is preferred for performing arterial blood gas (ABG) draws but is not required.
• Strong venipuncture, specimen handling, and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Emergency Department and hospital environment.
