THE POSITION The Fiscal Management Specialist 4 position within the Bureau of Central Operations - Budget, Grants, and Administrative Services Division affords the opportunity to support programs that provide services to individuals and families across the Commonwealth. You will take part in careful budget oversight that ensures vital services continue to reach those who need them. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position focuses on providing financial oversight and coordination for multiple programs within the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. Your work supports essential services that promote independence and employment across Pennsylvania. Program Oversight: Manage funding for numerous rehabilitation and support programs across several appropriations Grant Coordination: Monitor and oversee roughly eighty grants and contracts connected to statewide service programs Budget Preparation: Coordinate and prepare all budget documents, fiscal reports, audits, commitments, and expenditures Meeting Leadership: Lead weekly budget meetings and participate in monthly executive discussions Field Communication: Provide guidance and updates to field personnel regarding budget matters and required reporting Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment Work hours Work hours are negotiable: 7.5-hour workday and lunch period is 30 minutes (or 60 minutes depending on work hours). The position is AWS and part-time telework eligible. The HQ location may be flexible to the selected candidate; however the ability to report to the Harrisburg Office as needed is required. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to an approved headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $78,925.00 (before taxes). Required Experience, Training & Eligibility QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or Three years of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
