Harpers Ferry, WV Front Royal, VA Charleston, SC Glynco, GA Los Indios, TX El Paso, TX Artesia, NM Duties In this position you will serve as a Mission Support Specialist (Generalist) and plan and carry out a wide variety of mission support activities related to the missions and functions of the assigned Academy/Division within the Office of Training and Development (OTD). The position starts at a salary of $50,460.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $80,243.00 (GS-09, Step 10) with promotion potential to $80,243 (GS-9 Step 10). Major duties include: Executing timekeeping functions, reviewing, amending and certifying work schedules to ensure accurate submission of timecards. Monitoring incoming and outgoing correspondence, suspense, dates and reports for management. Assisting with managing the academy/division property program (ordering, receiving, inventorying, transferring, and excessing property). Assisting with overseeing the lost, stolen, destroyed, or missing property program and performing audits and report preparation. Conducting local records management and utilizing various databases and automated systems to prepare property, supply, budget and other mission and administrative support reports. Salary will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection. Requirements You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service. Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years is required. Residency requirement: physically resided in the United States (or its protectorates) for at least three of the last five years. Probationary period: new employees must serve a one‑year probationary period during their first year of appointment. Qualifications Experience Requirements: GS‑07: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, including duties such as collecting, assembling, and preparing administrative reports; preparing logistics for events; coordinating with personnel; applying accepted criteria to resolve issues. GS‑09: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, including duties such as conducting research, preparing briefing materials, organizing logistics, coordinating personnel, and preparing data reports from internal automated systems. Education Substitutions: GS‑07: One year of full‑time graduate education from an accredited institution may substitute for required experience. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) may substitute. GS‑09: A master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree, two full years of progressively higher‑level graduate education, or a JD/LLB may substitute for required experience. Combining experience and education may satisfy qualification requirements by meeting at least 100% of the combined experience/education percentages.
