This full-time, contract position focuses on providing specialized services as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired with an Orientation & Mobility Specialist (OMS) Certification. What You Bring:

• Valid Professional Florida TVI license AND current Orientation & Mobility Specialist (OMS) Certification (required)
• Experience in educational assessments and student screenings
• Flexibility to travel between schools, serving a diverse caseload
• Excellent communication skills for both direct instruction and consultative services
• Strong organizational skills to manage itinerant scheduling and documentation
• School-based experience is strongly preferred, but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply

In This Role, You'll:

• Deliver direct and indirect services to K-12 students with visual impairments across approximately 13 schools
• Conduct student screenings and contribute expertise to team assessments
• Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement individualized support plans
• Provide consultative support, with certain services offered on a monthly basis
• Maintain detailed records and participate in compliance-related processes, including onboarding and ongoing documentation
• Work with administrative staff to tailor your weekly schedule, optimizing both commuting and service delivery

This position supports options for hybrid service, welcoming candidates who can provide in-person instruction, with flexibility for VOCO (virtual/online) services when appropriate and periodic travel for direct engagements. Your expertise will directly empower around 22 students district-wide.
