- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric categories using a blend of standardized assessments and skillful observation.
- Craft individualized treatment plans addressing both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
- Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions that encompass speech production, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
- Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to create an integrated approach to patient care.
- Empower families through education to ensure enhanced continuity of progress outside clinical hours.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to provide seamless care throughout the healing journey.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation to fulfill state and federal mandates as well as organizational policies.
- Remain proactive in professional development through continued education and collaboration with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment practices across age groups, supported by a solid foundation in both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and diverse healthcare teams.
- Ability to tailor therapy strategies to reflect varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
