Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric categories using a blend of standardized assessments and skillful observation.
• Craft individualized treatment plans addressing both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions that encompass speech production, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to create an integrated approach to patient care.
• Empower families through education to ensure enhanced continuity of progress outside clinical hours.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to provide seamless care throughout the healing journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation to fulfill state and federal mandates as well as organizational policies.
• Remain proactive in professional development through continued education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
