Store Environment Team Member

Primary Responsibilities Maintain high standard of overall look and feel of the store with focus on cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. Deliver friendly customer service, helping customers shop and find what they’re looking for. Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures. Dust and mop floors following approved procedures. Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place them back correctly. Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment. This may include mixing water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. Deep clean key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff. Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment. Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks. Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor. Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines. Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in keeping with the organization’s vision and values. Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members. Other Duties as Assigned Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards. Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments. Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS) Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes. Support shrink and safety programs. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to remain standing for long periods of time. Ability to move throughout the store. Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching. Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment. May involve occasional outdoor work or operating in a frame shop with glass cutter and heat press. Work Environment Public retail store setting with climate controlled public areas. Some stock rooms may not be climate controlled. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings. Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
