Truss Designer - Mitek Experience Required (Brooksville, FL)

Description Position Purpose: Designers are responsible for creating detailed plans using Mitek software for roof and floor trusses to be used in construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and design software. Produce detailed placement plans and truss designs using plans and specifications to meet the customer needs and building codes. Produce accurate production ready truss layouts, design drawings, and estimates. Support the sales team with excellent customer service (internal and external) Work with professional engineers for truss design and repair details. Communicate with customers and sales staff to gather information necessary to complete projects accurately. Maintain communication with customers and management as needed to meet production deadlines. Communicate specifications with the production team to ensure timely production. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of 3 years’ experience in roof and floor truss design for residential projects. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively. Knowledge of wood products, engineered wood products, building codes, and building construction materials and methods. Knowledge of design, production, and sales of manufactured trusses and related products. Ability to read blueprints and visualize details in three dimensions.
