Job Summary We are seeking a licensed Staff Attorney to join a growing legal team in Fredericksburg, VA . This role focuses primarily on Family Law Litigation , representing clients across a five-county region. The ideal candidate will provide legal counsel, advocate for clients in court, and manage a diverse caseload while supporting the organization’s mission of serving low-income and underserved communities. Key Responsibilities Represent clients in family law matters and court proceedings. Provide legal advice and direct client representation. Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents. Prepare for hearings, depositions, and litigation activities. Manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment. Advocate for low-income and underserved clients. Collaborate with colleagues to support the organization’s mission. Qualifications Licensed to practice law in Virginia or eligible for admission under Virginia State Bar Rule 1A:9. Strong interest in Family Law , including domestic violence matters. Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Commitment to serving low-income and underserved populations. Previous experience in civil and family law litigation is highly preferred.
