Advanced Practice Nurse
US Department of War
Duties
Perform rapid assessment, triage, and stabilization of emergency patients.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and traumatic injuries.
Order and interpret laboratory test, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
Coordinate emergency patient care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Determine patient disposition, including admission, transfer, discharge, or specialty referral.
Respond to life-threatening emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
Document patient assessments, treatments, and medical decisions in the electronic health record.
