See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview:Your primary responsibility will be to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot molds used in the production of boat components. This includes performing regular inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance to ensure molds are in optimal condition and ready for use. You will also be responsible for identifying and addressing any issues that may arise with the molds, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production schedules.Essential Functions:Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot molds used in the production of boat componentsPerform routine inspections of molds to identify wear, damage, or performance issuesClean molds and apply preventive maintenance to ensure readiness for productionDiagnose mold-related issues and complete timely repairs to minimize production downtimeEnsure molds meet quality standards and are in optimal condition prior to useSupport production schedules by responding quickly to mold issues and maintenance needsDocument inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs as requiredFollow established safety procedures and work practices while handling molds and materialsSafely operate forklifts and/or tugger vehicles to transport, stage, load, and unload molds, materials, and finished components within the facility.Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in mold maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or related mechanical work preferredWorking knowledge of preventive maintenance practicesAbility to identify and troubleshoot mechanical or surface defects in moldsBasic understanding of production environments and manufacturing schedulesAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to perform physical tasks associated with mold maintenance, including standing, lifting, and working in a production environmentWillingness to work flexible hours as needed to support production demandsWorking Conditions:Work is performed in a lamination and mold preparation environment within a boat manufacturing facilityRegular exposure to fiberglass, resins, gel coats, solvents, and mold release chemicalsEnvironment may be hot, humid, and physically demanding, with airborne particulates and strong odorsRequires frequent standing, bending, reaching, and working around large molds and toolingMust be able to wear required PPE, including respirators, gloves, eye protection, and protective clothingThe anticipated hiring range for this position is $21.85 to $24.55, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
