Position Summary

The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, leading team members, and ensuring consistent execution of company standards. This is a hands-on, hourly, non-exempt role that actively participates in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations while providing leadership and direction to the team.

As an Assistant Manager, you will:

• Support the General Manager in day-to-day restaurant operations
• Lead shifts by directing team members and ensuring efficient service and food preparation
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to Crew Members and Shift Leads
• Deliver and model excellent guest service; resolve guest concerns professionally
• Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding of team members
• Ensure product quality, food safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently met
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits, and reporting
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and stock management
• Maintain compliance with company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local laws
• Actively participate in food preparation, including slicing meats and cheeses and assembling subs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment
• Support team performance, accountability, and operational consistency

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous restaurant leadership experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Dependable, accountable, and team-oriented
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

 

Compensation

Pay Range: $15 per hour – $20 per hour

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, location, and business needs.

This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Bend, reach, stoop, and kneel frequently
• Perform repetitive motions (including hand and wrist movements)
• Work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

 

Work Environment

This role operates in a restaurant environment with exposure to food preparation equipment, noise, and fast-paced operations. Team members are expected to follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
