Merchandising Manager

The Merchandising Manager is responsible for leading assortment planning, lifecycle management, commercial analysis, and product merchandising activities across Easy Way's soft goods portfolio. This role is accountable for optimizing assortment performance, supporting product development and commercialization efforts, and ensuring product decisions align with customer demand, market trends, operational capabilities, and financial objectives. The Merchandising Manager serves as both a strategic and hands-on contributor, balancing assortment strategies with day-to-day execution. The role partners closely with Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to support growth, margin performance, inventory productivity, and the overall customer experience. Key Responsibilities Lead assortment planning activities across product categories, balancing customer needs, market opportunities, profitability objectives, inventory productivity, and operational considerations. Analyze sales, margin, inventory, pricing, customer, market, and product performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations. Manage product lifecycles from concept through launch, replenishment, optimization, rationalization, and discontinuation. Develop product briefs, assortment recommendations, line plans, and pricing strategies based on customer insights, competitive analysis, and market trends. Partner with Product Development, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to align product decisions with sourcing, costing, production, and commercial objectives. Lead assortment reviews and performance evaluations, using data driven decision making to improve SKU productivity, simplify complexity, and support business growth. Support product launch readiness including product information, pricing inputs, samples, presentations, sales tools, and cross functional communication. Maintain accurate assortment, catalog, pricing, and product data while ensuring consistency across systems, reports, presentations, and customer facing materials. Support showroom merchandising, product presentations, customer meetings, and product storytelling efforts that strengthen brand positioning and customer engagement. Work with Business Intelligence to develop reporting, dashboards, and business insights that support timely and informed decision making across commercial and product teams. Advanced merchandising, assortment planning, and product lifecycle management capability. Advanced analysis, critical thinking, and business acumen with a strong data driven approach to decision making. Strategic market awareness with the ability to identify trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities. Strong product knowledge and commercial understanding across soft goods, textiles, materials, merchandising, and pricing strategies. Advanced communication, collaboration, and influence skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and stakeholders. Advanced Microsoft Excel and business analytics capability with experience leveraging data, reporting, and dashboards to drive results. Continuous improvement mindset focused on assortment optimization, process efficiency, and business performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Product Development, Textiles, Business, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of progressive experience in merchandising, assortment planning, category management, retail buying, product management, or a related soft goods environment. Demonstrated experience analyzing sales, margin, inventory, SKU productivity, pricing, forecasting, and product performance data. Experience supporting product launches, assortment optimization, lifecycle management, and commercial decision making. Strong understanding of customer needs, market trends, product positioning, and profitability drivers. Travel Occasional travel is required for this position. Must have a valid license and passport and willingness/ability to travel outside of North America. Supervisory Responsibility No This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some kneeling, bending and standing is required as necessary. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work The standard workweek is forty (40) hours. Workday lengths for exempt associates are determined primarily by the hours required to accomplish their current workloads. General business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
