About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a 120-day assignment in Maine, commencing Nov 2, 2024. The Physician will work 4-5 days per week, from 8 am to 5 pm, focusing on a variety of procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopies, colonoscopies, and liver biopsies, while managing an adult-geriatric patient population. This role requires comprehensive gastroenterology expertise. Responsibilities and Duties

• Work 4-5 days per week, 8 am - 5 pm, based on endoscopy needs.
• Perform 14-18 scopes per day, with patient visits lasting approximately 30 minutes per procedure.
• Participate in a shared call schedule with two other Gastroenterologists, covering 7 days in a row, 24/7.
• Manage inpatient cases, performing procedures such as upper GI Endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, banding of varices, and esophageal dilation.
• Conduct lower GI endoscopies, Sigmoidoscopies, colonoscopies, and liver biopsies.
• Care for an adult-geriatric patient population.
• Utilize advanced procedural capability in gastroenterology.

• Board Certifications: Gastroenterology
• Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
• EMR: Epic
• Setting: Inpatient
• Call schedule and requirements: Call is shared with two other Gastroenterologists, covering 7 days in a row, 24/7.
• Patient Volume: 14-18 Scopes per day
• LOA: 120 Days
