As an Academic Tutor and Mentor with City Year, you’ll serve in public schools to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth. Working on a diverse AmeriCorps team, you’ll provide small-group and one-on-one tutoring, in-class support, and mentoring that fosters engagement and confidence. You’ll help track student progress, assist with lesson activities, and lead enrichment or after-school programs. City Year offers extensive training, coaching, and leadership development in a collaborative, inclusive culture dedicated to social justice, student success, and your professional growth.
