Position Summary  

The Polisher is responsible for ensuring all glassware is cleaned, polished, inspected, and presented to the highest standards of quality and appearance. This role supports front-of-house operations by maintaining an organized inventory of service-ready glassware, ensuring proper handling and storage, and contributing to a seamless guest experience.  

The Polisher plays an essential role in upholding the presentation standards, operational excellence, and commitment to hospitality that define the Milos dining experience.

Role Responsibilities 

• Inspect, polish, and prepare all glassware to ensure exceptional presentation and adherence to Milos quality standards.  
• Inspect glassware for chips, cracks, water spots, fingerprints, and other imperfections prior to service.  
• Organize, stock, and maintain adequate par levels of polished glassware throughout all service areas.  
• Handle and store glassware safely to prevent breakage and maintain quality standards.  
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary polishing stations, storage areas, and workspaces.  
• Support front-of-house and bar operations by ensuring a continuous supply of service-ready glassware.  
• Communicate glassware shortages, breakage, inventory needs, or quality concerns to restaurant leadership.  
• Assist with inventory counts, organization, and storage of glassware as needed.  
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, sanitation standards, and all applicable health and safety regulations.  
• Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, attention to detail, and operational excellence.  
• Perform additional duties and special projects assigned by management.  

Knowledge, Experience and Skills 

• 2+ years of experience in a restaurant, hospitality, stewarding, or food service environment preferred.  
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, presentation, and quality.  
• Ability to handle glassware carefully while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.  
• Strong organizational and time management skills.  
• Ability to work collaboratively with front-of-house, bar, and culinary teams.  
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to maintaining high operational standards.  
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.  

Physical Requirements  

• Ability to perform essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.  
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position safely and effectively.  
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.  
• Ability to frequently bend, lift, carry, reach, and move throughout the restaurant.  
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.  
• Ability to safely handle glassware and work with commercial cleaning and polishing equipment as needed.  

Compensation 

• The hourly pay range for this position is  between $17-$18.
• The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior to employment experience, job-related knowledge, qualifications, and skills, etc.
