Position Summary: As Soufflé Therapeutics grows its research pipeline – targeting more tissues and taking on more collaborations – we need hands-on support producing, purifying, and characterizing protein bioconjugates. As our new Associate Scientist, Protein Conjugation and Purification, you'll be a key contributor to that pipeline, generating and purifying material that directly supports our in vitro and in vivo studies. If you want to build your bioconjugation and purification skills in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, this is a great place to start. Key Responsibilities Purify and characterize protein bioconjugates to support Soufflé's in vitro and in vivo studies Develop and optimize methods for the preparation and purification of bioconjugates Generate protein bioconjugates using a range of conjugation chemistries Characterize conjugates using techniques such as SEC-HPLC, SDS-PAGE, and mass spectrometry Present data to colleagues and coordinate efforts with other teams What Success Looks Like In 3 months: You're acquainted with our basic protein science workflows, protocols, and instrumentation In 6 months: You're carrying out routine lab work independently, with minimal supervision In 12 months: You're independently troubleshooting issues and owning experimental projects with minimal oversight, with a mature understanding of how your work fits into Soufflé's broader efforts Qualifications — Required Some hands-on experience with protein chemistry, including FPLC, HPLC, and TFF Strong troubleshooting skills Education BS + 1 year of relevant experience, or a completed MS, in biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, or a related field At Soufflé Therapeutics, we are intentional about building an equitable culture.
