Travel RN – Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 48 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit with a 44-bed capacity including an embedded IMC
• Manage a diverse patient population including high-acuity cardiac, post-operative, trauma, and telemetry patients
• Operate and monitor complex equipment including IVs, PCA pumps, epidurals, Ketamine drips, Heparin drips, chest tubes, central lines, PICCs, PEG tubes, trachs, wound vacs, and specialty beds
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5–6 during night shift while delivering safe, quality care
• Collaborate within a team-oriented environment, floating to other units as needed
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (or eligible) in the state of Maine
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in a high-acuity setting
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Completion of required online education modules
• Ability to work every other weekend as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-acuity cardiac and telemetry patient populations
• Background in post-operative and/or complex wound care nursing
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment
