As a Research Technician I in the Abraham Lab , you will play an important role in advancing groundbreaking research focused on urinary tract infection (UTI) vaccines and bladder T cells as potential therapeutic targets. In this hands-on laboratory role, you will support ongoing research projects, assist with animal studies, and help maintain a safe and efficient research environment. What You'll Do: Assist with laboratory animal (mouse) handling, including immunization studies, sample collection, processing, and related research activities. Perform routine laboratory operations, including maintenance, cleaning, organization, and inventory management. Support compliance with laboratory safety standards, policies, and procedures while helping maintain a safe working environment. Ensure laboratory supplies are adequately stocked and research equipment is properly maintained and operational. Perform basic laboratory techniques in cell biology and microscopy. Organize, analyze, and document research data to support scientific reporting and project objectives. Work closely with the Principal Investigator to review assignments, analyze experimental results, and assist with documenting research findings. Review scientific literature to support experimental planning and laboratory procedures. Learn and apply new laboratory techniques while assisting with the onboarding and training of new laboratory personnel. Contribute to additional research-related activities and special projects as needed. What You'll Bring: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a research environment. Interest in immunology, infectious disease research, or translational science. Commitment to laboratory safety and research integrity. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Required Qualifications: Education Associate's degree in Biology, Zoology, Psychology, Botany, or another science-related field. Experience No additional experience required beyond the educational requirement. Equivalent combinations of relevant education and experience will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a laboratory environment. Experience handling laboratory animals, particularly mice. Familiarity with basic cell biology techniques and microscopy.
