Chelmsford Public Schools - Announcement of Vacancy for the 2026-2027 School Year The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget. Position: Preschool ABA Paraprofessional Location: Chelmsford Integrated Preschool (CHIPS) Description: Work with Preschool children to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and/or physically. Additional duties as required by the special education department or Preschool Coordinator. Provides intensive individualized therapy services directed toward the development and/or enhancement of skills necessary for emotional, cognitive, behavioral, language, and interpersonal growth of the student. Uses appropriate applied behavior teaching, communication and reinforcement techniques consistently. Accurately completes all required documentation and data collection daily. Works with an individual student to reinforce learning of material or skills as described in the IEP/treatment plan. Assists in all classroom routines, including snack, lunch, and bathroom. Participates in in-service training programs as assigned. Willing to accept direction/feedback regarding performance and training Qualifications Previous experience working with preschool aged children preferred but not required. Familiarity with principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)strongly preferred. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 lbs.such as pushing children on a bike, swing or adaptive furniture. #J-18808-Ljbffr
