Delivery Specialist – Role Overview The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. Delivery Specialist – Responsibilities Operate company vehicles to safely and efficiently deliver parts and products to customers. Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform daily inspections, and keep keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies secure. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete driver return slips. Communicate any customer problems or special needs to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at the end of the business day. Clock in/out in accordance with company policy. Perform additional duties as assigned—customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, errands, core returns, stock order handling, etc. Occasionally assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising tasks when required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications – Required Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. A driving record that meets the company’s 14/18‑point standard. A legally required state driver’s license and meeting company driving eligibility requirements. Qualifications – Desired Familiarity with automotive parts. Ability to operate other light store equipment. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish especially). Compensation Package Competitive wages & paid time off.
