The Material Handler I is responsible for the movement of various materials and products through a variety of means, including manual sorting and placement. Your responsibilities will include:* Ensuring safe movement of products or merchandise.* Reviewing products or merchandise to ensure proper placement.* All other duties as assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.* Adjusting to new reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules to meet company needs and business requirements.* Consistent and reliable attendance at work is an essential function of this job.What We're Looking For:* Experience in a warehouse or similar production environment is preferred.* Previous experience in manual labor or roles requiring frequent lifting and physical work is strongly preferred.* Strong commitment to safety procedures.* Attention to detail for ensuring proper placement of products.* Reliability and a dependable work ethic.* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.* Willingness to perform a variety of physical tasks.Physical Requirements:* This is a physically demanding role that requires constant standing, walking, bending, and stooping.* You must be able to lift and move materials, which may be heavy, repeatedly throughout the workday.* Requires good manual dexterity and physical stamina for tasks such as minor repairs and manual drying.* Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment.* Excellent vision (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus) for operating machinery, reading documentation, and navigating the warehouse safely.Work Environment:* While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels.
