Key Responsibilities:

The Palliative Care Attending Physician will:

• Deliver direct clinical services in both inpatient consultative and outpatient settings within our organization and its affiliated physician network.

• Engage in innovative palliative care initiatives at local, regional, and national levels.

• Contribute to the main teaching hospital of the medical school, emphasizing the education and mentorship of exceptional medical students, residents, and fellows.

• Qualified candidates may have the opportunity to serve as the director of the Hospice and Palliative Fellowship.

• A strong interest in outpatient palliative care and community outreach programs is encouraged, though not mandatory.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be board eligible or board certified in Hospice and Palliative Care medicine.

• Exceptional teaching abilities and a keen interest in research are essential.

• The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented individual eager to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and disciplines to promote cutting-edge research.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary that reflects academic training and professional experience. An appointment at the medical school will be provided based on academic credentials. Additional benefits include a robust retirement plan, funding for continuing medical education (CME), generous vacation time, and a comprehensive holiday policy.

The salary range for this role is between $230,491 and $261,334 annually. Actual compensation will be finalized during the hiring process and will consider various factors, including relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
