Senior Project Manager - Commercial

Paul Borg Construction Company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager . This role requires a seasoned construction professional with extensive experience managing complex commercial projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, including oversight of projects with budgets exceeding $8 million . Experience managing municipal, county, or other public-sector projects is highly preferred, along with a strong understanding of government contracts, permitting, compliance, and public procurement processes. Key Responsibilities Lead all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts. Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and local government agencies. Oversee contract administration, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project documentation. Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and contractual requirements. Monitor project performance and proactively identify and resolve risks, conflicts, and scheduling issues. Conduct regular project meetings and provide timely updates to executive leadership and clients. Manage subcontractor performance and ensure work meets company quality standards. Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams during project planning and budgeting. Foster strong client relationships through consistent communication and exceptional project delivery. Qualifications Required Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction. Demonstrated success managing projects with construction values of $8 million or more . Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls. Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating complex project teams. Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience). Experience managing municipal, county, or other public-sector construction projects . Experience with adaptive reuse, renovation, hospitality, or restaurant construction projects. Knowledge of public bidding requirements, permitting processes, and government compliance standards. OSHA 30 certification and other relevant construction certifications.
