MRI Technologist

JOB SUMMARY Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, as prescribed by a physician. Key Responsibilities Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images. Position patients and equipment accurately to obtain desired views. Administer contrast agents as directed. Monitor patient safety and comfort during scans. Maintain patient records and documentation. Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions. Schedule / Shift 3x12 hour shifts Includes Saturdays Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Certifications ARRT (American Registry for Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience Minimum experience as required by ARRT for certification in MRI Experience with routine MRI procedures Skills Proficient in operating MRI equipment Knowledge of anatomy and physiology Ability to follow instructions and protocols Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail Unit / Specialty MRI Patient Population General adult and adolescent patient population.
