Accounting Assistant

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT (TEMPORARY) - MANITOWOC, WI (ON-SITE)

ABR Employment Services is partnering with a stable, well-established manufacturing company in the Manitowoc area to hire an Accounting Assistant for maternity-leave coverage. If you're looking for a role where you can build real, hands-on experience in payroll + A/P + A/R, this is a great opportunity-and there may be an extension/longer-term spot for the right person.

PAY + FLEXIBILITY

• $19-$22/hour (some flexibility for strong experience)
• Flexible hours (may consider part-time for the right candidate)
• Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Support bi-weekly payroll (processing and documentation)
• Assist with Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
• Help with customer invoicing and payment processing
• Enter and maintain accurate data in accounting software and spreadsheets
• Assist with reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Verify accuracy of invoices, reports, and financial postings
• Maintain organized records and support special projects as needed
• Provide front desk coverage (phones, visitors, directing inquiries)
• Handle sensitive payroll/financial information with confidentiality

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Post-high school education in Accounting/Business (or currently pursuing), and/or equivalent experience
• Accounting support experience preferred (open to strong entry-level candidates with relevant schooling)
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
• Professional communication with employees, vendors, and customers
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• ADP and/or Sage 100 exposure is a plus (not required)
