Veterinary Technician - Swing

VCA TLC Pasadena Veterinary Specialty and Emergency is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician! Location: 1412 Huntington Dr, South Pasadena, CA 91030 Job Type: Full-time Salary: $26 - $34 per hour Schedule: 4 X 10 hour shift: SwingShift Experience: Veterinary experience: 3 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person Dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities. Shift Differential Pay for Swing Responsibilities Assist doctors with exams, treatments, and procedures Venipuncture and IVC placement Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc. Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team. Recognize subtle change in clinical status Discharge instructions with clients Complete estimates, basic record keeping Surgical preparation Anesthesia monitoring Advanced Phlebotomy Monitoring Ventilator Cases Apheresis Diagnostic imaging (radiographs and assisting with ultrasounds) Requirements RVT Credentials valid in California ICU experience preferred Proficient computer skills Outstanding communication skills Interpersonal skills Ability to multitask Love for animals Benefits We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), generous employee pet discounts, and more!
