Inspector - Aviation page is loaded## Inspector - Aviationlocations: Austin, Texastime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR4880**STV** is seeking an **Inspector** to join our Construction Management Group, to work **onsite** with one of our **aviation** clients in **Austin, TX.****Job Summary:**The **Inspector** is responsible for overseeing the inspection and quality control of airport buildings and infrastructure, including terminals, aviation **buildings, and support facilities**. The inspector ensures that all structural, architectural, and finishing works comply with project specifications, building codes, safety regulations, and aviation industry standards.**Key Responsibilities:****Building Inspection & Quality Control:*** Conduct **inspections of structural, architectural, and finishing works** to ensure compliance with approved designs and material specifications.* Verify construction activities against **FAA, ICAO, IBC, NFPA, and local building codes** applicable to airport facilities.* Monitor **concrete works, steel structures, roofing, glazing, flooring, ceilings, partitions, and fireproofing**.* Identify **construction defects, safety hazards, and non-conformities**, and recommend corrective actions.* Witness **testing and commissioning** of various building systems, including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical installations.**Project Coordination & Reporting:*** Collaborate with **contractors, engineers, architects, and airport authorities** to ensure project quality.* Maintain **daily inspection logs, progress reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)**.* Participate in **project meetings** and provide updates on construction quality and safety compliance.* Assist in **troubleshooting construction challenges** and ensuring timely resolution.**Safety & Regulatory Compliance:*** Ensure adherence to **aviation safety standards**, including fire resistance, wind loads, seismic requirements, and accessibility codes.* Conduct **safety inspections** related to airport infrastructure and report potential risks.* Support the implementation of **risk mitigation strategies** for high-priority buildings.**Requirements & Qualifications:*** **Education:** Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in **Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management**.* **Experience:** Minimum **5+ years** of experience in **building inspection, construction supervision, or quality control**, preferably in aviation projects.* **Certifications:** + **Construction Quality Control (CQC), LEED, or OSHA** certifications are a plus. + Familiarity with **airport construction standards and regulations**.* **Technical Skills:** + Strong knowledge of **structural, architectural, and finishing works** in airport environments. + Proficiency in **AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and inspection reporting tools**.* **Soft Skills:** + Strong **problem-solving, communication, and teamwork** skills. + Ability to work in a **high-pressure environment** with strict timelines.Compensation Range:$55,392.00 - $73,856.00STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (16 days) • Paid Holidays (8 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
