Adjunct Professor/Instructor

Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Participate in departmental activities. Occasional monitoring and training of students for departmental activities on a project‑by‑project basis. Demonstrate a genuine desire to contribute to the mission of MVSU. Other Requirements & Skills Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to effectively communicate. Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds. Strong writing and editing skills. Required Qualifications Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a relevant field of study or closely related field, or have at least 18 graduate credit hours in the subject‑matter area for which the application is submitted. All adjunct instructors/professors are required to participate in adjunct‑faculty orientation and online teaching workshops prior to employment. Preferred Qualifications Teaching experience (in person and online) in core disciplinary subject areas. Experience with diverse student populations. Strong writing and editing skills. Ability to effectively communicate. Ability to work well with people with diverse backgrounds. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
