Location: Boerne, TX Employment Type: Full-Time Pay: $30 – $32 per hour

About the Role Professional Therapy Service is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant for our outpatient clinic in Boerne, Texas. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll deliver hands-on treatment that helps patients restore mobility, manage pain, and regain independence. You'll carry out established plans of care, track patient progress, and help each patient stay motivated and on track to meet their therapy goals.

About Us Professional Therapy Service is part of Professional Therapy Partners, a physical therapy practice partnership based in Southlake, Texas. The company was built by physical therapists for physical therapists. We partner with independent outpatient clinics across Texas and New Mexico and take on billing, payroll, HR, and compliance, so our clinicians can focus on patient care. Each clinic keeps its own identity and its own clinical autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following the established plan of care
• Deliver therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, manual techniques, and modalities as directed by the supervising PT
• Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes in status or progress to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Document daily treatment notes accurately and on time in the EMR (WebPT)
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and encourage them to stick with their plan of care
• Set up treatment areas and equipment so they're safe and ready for each session
• Follow all infection control, HIPAA, and patient safety procedures
• Support physical therapy and PTA students and help create a positive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, front office staff, and the care team
• Take part in team meetings, training, and quality improvement activities

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligibility to get one before your start date (an active license is required to start)
• Ability to keep your license in good standing, including Texas continuing competence requirements (20 CCUs every two-year renewal cycle, including the Texas Jurisprudence Assessment)
• Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association
• Proficiency with an EMR and comfort with basic technology
• Ability to stand and walk often, bend, reach, and lift or move patients and equipment up to 50 lbs
• Ability to travel occasionally between clinic locations
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior outpatient orthopedic experience
• Experience with WebPT
• Strong documentation and time management skills
